This is the place for opportunities to fish for
steelhead, salmon & many
other species right in the heart of the best fishing of British
Colombia. Z-Boat is a small operation run by Brad & Kim Zeerip
situtated on the banks of the famous Skeena River just on the edge
of the town Terrace.

Unlike other destination lodges, Z-Boat is
unique in that the angler has access to a number of rivers
during any given stay. Their guides are licensed to fish all four
sections of the world-renowned Skeena, plus its famous tributaries: the
Copper River, Kalum River, Ecstall, the Kasiks, Kimat, and
others. Some rivers are accessed by boat which lets the fisherman
enjoy the remote locations of this gorgeous region of snow capped
mountains and granite cliffs with cascading waterfalls. The boats
make for the great escape, and often you will see no one else on
the rivers for your entire stay.
Depending on the time of year you
visit there (the season is 8 months long), there are opportunities to
fish for steelhead, Kings (Chinook), Coho (silvers), sockeye,
pink, and chum salmon; rainbow, cutthroat, dolly varden, and bull
trout all native to the watershed. The steelhead and salmon are
some of the largest in the world. Most are still super fresh as
Terrace is not far from the salt, and you can expect great fights,
and challenges in landing these fish. The scenery is spectacular
and the variety of water to be fished makes a trip to this lodge
so interesting and fun that Brad and Kim have a regular repeat
clientele of satisfied and avid anglers.
The lodge sits on the banks of the Skeena and commands a great view
of Sleeping Beauty Mt. It has an intimate cozy atmosphere and Brad and Kim specialize in
accommodating small parties up to 6 anglers or more on request for
a week or stays shorter than 7 days. There are six bedrooms with
private baths and a recreation room with fireplaces, bar, and a
pool table. They provide friendly, home-style meals & attentive
service in their scenic riverfront lodge.
